Significant updates to majors, minors, and certificates that constitute greater than 25% change to the existing curriculum or necessitate a change to the number of units required to complete the degree.
Submitting a Substantial Modification
To submit a request for a graduate or undergraduate major, minor, certificate, or sub-plan/emphasis, please complete the Substantial Change Request form in Coursedog and please complete the Request to Revise Academic Program Credit Requirements form and email it to curricular_affairs@list.arizona.edu

Request a Pause on Admissions
To request that admissions be placed on pause for a particular program, complete and submit the form below in Coursedog.

Important Dates / Deadlines
Proposals for new programs require approval by faculty governance councils, which only meet during the academic year. The dates linked below are suggested guidelines to maximize opportunities for approval within an academic year. When proposal volume exceeds available committee agenda slots, approval may be delayed. On-time submission of a program proposal does not guarantee approval will occur by a specific date.
